I recently found an article by Developmental Psychologist Bruce Hood, which studies a similar concept: the belief in the supernatural. Though his approach is different from ours, his conclusion matches ours and the two articles are complementary in nature. I'd therefore definitely advise people to read it if they liked the ideas proposed in our article.
