The current study aims to examine the relationship between parental meta-emotion philosophy, parenting practices and their children’s ability to regulate and cope with negative emotions such as anger, sadness, fear and anxiety. This study is being conducted to consider the effects of individual juror's religious characteristics on sentencing in capital cases. Participants are asked to read a brief trial summary and judge's instructions and assess a sentence in a hypothetical capital case. They are then asked to answer some questions to measure religious fundamentalism, religious salience, and some basic demographic information.

Participants will read a short vignette and answer questions about what the character in the story might think or feel. The program used to run the study requires the download of a small javascript-type file and works best with Internet Explorer or Firefox.
