Why do you make a donation to charity? This is a 15 minute experiment,
and the goal of this experiment is to understand why people make
online charitable donations. In addition, when you participate in this
experiment, you'll raise funds for charity and get to help decide
which charity will receive the funds raised in this experiment. Here's
how everything works:
1. When you participate in the experiment, the Georgia Tech GVU
Center will add $2 to the experiment's donation pool;
2. The experiment will take about 15 minutes to finish; when you
finish, you can vote for one of the following charities to receive the
money in the donation pool:
* Big Brothers Big Sisters
* Doctors Without Borders
* DonorsChoose
* UNICEF
3. When the experiment is completed, the charity with the
most votes will receive the money in the donation pool.

I am a student in the Department of Psychology at Towson University. As part of my bachelor’s thesis, I am conducting a survey to clarify the correlates of a true vegetarian diet by considering the dietary behaviors, attitudes towards food, and personality characteristics associated with a vegetarian diet. It will also evaluate the differences between vegetarians, semi-vegetarians, and non-vegetarians. Participation will involve answering questions about participant, the participants eating patterns and attitudes. It will take approximately 35-40 minutes to complete the questionnaires, which is entirely on-line. All those 18 years of age and older can participate and are asked to complete the survey in one sitting. The questionnaires may be completed on any computer. There are no anticipated risks in this study. Although there will be no direct benefit to participants, their participation could help us understand the correlates that are connected with a vegetarian diet. The information that you give in the study will be anonymous. All answers will be confidential.
