Babies Prefer Good Samaritans

Science Daily reports on a study conducted at Yale University in which pre-verbal toddlers show a preference for actors who they witness helping others. Even though the actors' behavior was not directed towards the toddlers, the toddlers preferred these actors to those who did not help others, and to those who hindered others. This preference suggests an early development of the ability to perform social evaluations.
