Server logs. Our web server logs every request: IP address, time, page requested, referring page, browser and operating system. We use the logs to run the site securely and fix errors, and delete them after five weeks at most. Legal basis: legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). The site is hosted by AD-Medientechnik, Konstanz, on servers in Germany.
Cookies. Without your consent we only set klaro (stores your cookie choice, 180 days) and, for editors who log in, a session cookie (SSESS…, 23 days). You can change your choice at any time with the cookie button at the bottom of every page.
Google Analytics and Google Ads (only with your consent). We count visits, see which articles are read and measure the ads we run through Google's grant programme for non-profits. Google receives the pages you view, device and browser data, your approximate location and an online identifier, and sets _ga and _ga_… (400 days). Data about individual visits is deleted after 2 months. Visitors who are logged in are not tracked. Provider: Google Ireland Limited; data also goes to Google LLC in the USA, which is certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework. Legal basis: consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR).
YouTube videos (only with your consent). A video loads only when you click it or allow YouTube in the cookie settings. YouTube (Google) then receives your IP address and sets cookies. Legal basis: consent.
Email. If you write to us, we use your address and message to reply and delete them when they are no longer needed. Legal basis: legitimate interest.
Editors and authors. We store the name, email address and login data of our editors and authors until the account is deleted; published articles show authors' names and biographies. Legal basis: our cooperation (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR).
Your rights. You can ask for access to your data, its correction or deletion, restricted processing or a portable copy, object to processing based on legitimate interest, and withdraw consent at any time: kontakt@in-mind.org. You can complain to the Dutch Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens or the data protection authority in your country.
