Emil is an Editorial Assistant at the English edition of In-Mind. After obtaining his bachelor's degree in Psychology at Maastricht University, he developed an interest in perceptual processes, information processing, and conscious experience. He continued his studies at Maastricht University by pursuing a research master's in Cognitive Neuroscience. For his thesis internship he is currently conducting research at Columbia University, where he examines the cognitive basis of visual illusions of depth by exploring the extent to which neural network models perceive illusory depth compared to humans. Beyond visual processing, his other interests are sensorimotor processing and the perceptual information culminates in decision-making and adaptive actions.
