Prof. Michèle Wessa is Professor of Resilience Research and leads the Division of Cancer Survivorship and Psychological Resilience at the German Cancer Research Centre (DKFZ) in Heidelberg and the Department of Neuropsychology and Psychological Resilience Research at the Central Institute of Mental Health in Mannheim. Her research focuses on the identification of neurobiological and behavioral resilience mechanisms and the translation of these results into prevention methods in different living environments, such as schools, workplaces, elite sports, as well as chronic and life-threatening illnesses.
