Mira Fauth-Bühler

Mira Fauth-Bühler has served as Professor of Business Psychology and Neuroeconomics at FOM University of Applied Sciences in Stuttgart since 2017. After completing her PhD in Neuro- and Behavioral Sciences at the International Max Planck Research School in Tübingen, she worked at the University Medical Center Hamburg-Eppendorf, the University of Cambridge, and King’s College London, and held a senior position at the Central Institute of Mental Health. Mira’s research focuses on the psychological and neural mechanisms that shape decision-making, with particular emphasis on the interplay between impulsive and deliberate behavior in contexts such as financial choices, consumption, and digitally mediated environments – including social media platforms, smartphone use, and online services. Her pioneering work in addiction research has been recognized with the Wolfram-Keup Promotion Award, the DG-Suchtforschung Prize, and the FOM Research Prize.
